I would have never thought how much work went into the printing process before our visit. The machine was overwhelming but in a good way, I was fascinated by it all. The press was so intricate and big, it was hard to take it all in. Everything on the press has a purpose, every roll of paper leads somewhere to be printed on in a certain ink order. I was also interested in how the plates were put on. They snap them into place so they will not move. Going on this field trip taught me a lot. I knew how a press worked but actually being there while it was running and seeing everything inside of it was an experience I will never forget.

Before going to RMG I had no idea how much work went into the process from start to finish. Visiting it and going through each step really put it in perspective. There was so much in the first place we went to but what interested me the most was the second place we went. They do a lot of jobs for big companies and it was great to see the process of how of these big banners and  advertisements are made.

I really enjoyed these artist because they were all different but also very alike. They all had a different grasp on art and what art should look like. Mark Andreas went for more sculpture/architectural feel. Disney explored with iPod’s and technology. My favorite display was from Ryan Wolfe. He went for technology in an artistic way. All of these artists have a different outlook on art but when it comes down to it they are all the same.
